Management
Anne M. Burris, CEO
Anne has extensive management and international experience with tech innovation start-ups in growth markets. She spent 2 years in Brazil and 6 years in Russia managing over seven joint ventures and start- up operations for companies that included Oracle and Hewlett Packard.
Anne spent fifteen years working for Hewlett Packard in the Financial Services and Telecommunications Industries. Her experience in the Financial Services Industry includes operations and taxation, as well as being an auditor for the Federal Reserve Bank. Anne’s telecommunications expertise includes running a mobile billing system company and consulting on operations for mobile service providers.
Anne holds an MBA from Thunderbird School of Global Management and authored a book on service provider operations
John C. Burns, CTO
John was a long-standing director of research from positions at Hewlett Packard Laboratories, Amazon, JSTOR and ProQuest. John has been widely published in the fields of document and content understanding, security and networking and holds numerous patents in those fields. John brings many years of experience in applied research and product generation, especially with respect to archive and repository experience.
John Harrison, Chief Engineer
John is a Software Architect and Engineer with over 10 years of experience in delivering web-based solutions for museums, libraries and archives. As Chief Engineer for Archive Analytics, John spearheaded the development of the Alloy™ Product. A full-stack developer, John has expertise covering user interface design, RESTful APIs, search engines, data management, and Linux administration.
John is an active researcher in the field of practical data archiving, having contributed to multiple EU framework projects in the area of digital preservation. He has degrees in Biosystems & Informatics, and Genetics.
Paul Watry, Chief Evangelist
Paul Watry is Director of the Cheshire digital library unit, a professor of computational Linguistics in the School of Psychology, and an honorary professor in the School of English at the University of Liverpool. An internationally recognized expert, he coordinates research efforts in the development of data grids, digital libraries, and preservation environments. Developed software systems include the Cheshire information retrieval system (with Ray Larson at UC Berkeley); the Multivalent preservation object model (with Tom Phelps); and extensions to the integrated Rule Oriented Data System (iRods), working in partnership with the Data Intensive Cyber Environments Center (DICE) in the United States (UC San Diego, University of North Carolina). He was a co-founder of the UK National Text Mining Centre and is the infrastructure provider for multiple digital libraries, including the Archives Hub and British Library ISTC.
